Skill Development
India is today one of the youngest nations in the world with more than 62% of the population in the working age group (15-59 years), and more than 54% of the total population below 25 years of age. Reciting the facts, in coming two decades the labor force in the industrialized world is expected to decline by 4%, while in India it is prone to increase by 32%. Unfortunately, current statistics shows that only 3% of the total employees in India had undergone the Skill development training.
We at Vekuva appreciates and apprises the ongoing Government of India scheme named “Prime Minister Koushal Vikas Yojana” (PMKVY) which has an objective of imparting skill development training through well-established non-government organizations across India, but there is a huge fallback in creating awareness among the unemployed youth. Hence, we have taken up the responsibility to support and fill the lacuna by campaigning through all possible means.
